About Airpower International, Inc.

Airpower International, Inc. was founded in November 1983 by Steven Furst and his late partner John V. Slowe. The original focus of API was to supply air systems to the scuba diving industry.

Immediately after starting the business, API partnered up with Mako Compressors out of Ocala, Florida. Within two years, the focus of API's business switched to the fire and safety market. With the help of Mako Compressors, a giant in the air systems industry, API was able to grow even further.

Today, Airpower International, Inc. services thousands of customers covering Eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and Maryland. API has stuck to its roots and supplies one of the largest dive destinations with air systems, Grand Cayman Island.

API is one of the largest Mako distributors in the country. In addition to being the air system "source" to many fire departments, Airpower International, Inc. is also a major contractor to many of the largest fire truck manufacturing companies.

In the last ten years, API has branched out into the newest industry requiring high pressure air, the paintball market. Not only does Airpower International, Inc. offer sales and service on Mako Compressors, but their highly skilled technicians offer service on competitors units as well. Airpower International, Inc. looks forward to making you a part of their family.
